Linking with our English learning journey, we have researched and created posters about famous Victorians to compete against each other and win the X Factor!
Each group presented their contender and went head to head with another (the full tournament can be seen below). After hearing their ‘performance’, the class voted (with reasons) who they believed to be more significant and influential.
The winner was…Thomas Barnardo! An influential man who started a charity for children in need and poverty; he provided nearly 9,000 children with suitable aid and shelter.
I think that it is weird that all the Victorian inventers on the right hand side were all crossed off.
